Gluten-Free Cakes Made Easy and Fun Want to achieve an excellent texture in your gluten-free cakes? It took me years and loads of failed experiments to work out the right blend of flours. I love sharing the knowledge of working well with freshly milled wholegrain, gluten-free flours. Come and make a delicious, light gluten-free cake without the guesswork. In this class, I’ll give you a base recipe and the flours you need to make your own cake. You’ll each mix your own batter. Then it’s time to get creative. I’ll help you to choose stunning flavour combinations using the selection of fresh fruit, dried fruit, nuts and spices on the bench. In this relaxed, hands-on class, you’ll: • Discover the magic of wholegrain, gluten-free flours: I’ll walk you through the different types of flours, how they work together, and how to achieve a great texture • Bake your own cake: start with a simple base recipe, then choose your own extras from a selection of fresh and dried fruit, nuts and spices. • Enjoy good food and great company: while the cakes bake, you’ll have a chance to enjoy some delicious gluten-free treats, ask questions, and chat with like-minded souls. At the end of the class, you’ll take home your own freshly baked cake to share, plus the skills and confidence to recreate it at home whenever you like. ________________________________________ Important information We take great care to maintain a safe kitchen, but please note: • While our flours are milled on dedicated gluten-free mills, and we do our best to ensure no cross-contamination, the Outdoor Kitchen isn’t a completely gluten-free space. This class may not be suitable for those with coeliac disease. Please assess your risk honestly and feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.
